Back in 1997,I purchased a Blue and Gold Macaw on a whim. I was young and nieve at the time and didn't have a clue what I was undertaking.  Kolby, that's what I named her, became a fixture in my every day life and I slowly learned that owning a bird was far more complicated than it looked.  The attention she craved was nothing I had ever seen before.
